September

September is here! For all of you baseball people this means much more to you than it may to everyone living in the normal world. What this means to me is: 1 more month of baseball and then...waaait for it...OFF-SEASON! This year has flown by! It has been a crazy year, but we have had so much fun!

The one thing that we have really become grateful for this year is our apartment. It has really began to feel like 'home' to us, and we love it! The weather is nearly always perfect, we are within walking distance of a shopping center that has everything we need (including a great sushi restaurant!), the field is less than 10 minutes away (which is a HUGE blessing when you share a car), and our favorite part, it has an AMAZING view.

{If you look close, you can see the San Francisco skyline in the top right}

We really do love our little place. If it wasn't so expensive to live here in the "bay area" (I feel pretty cool/hip saying that), I would have loved to spend our off-season here. Don't get me wrong, we're very excited to get back home and into our real house, but we have really been spoiled with this great view and location.

With a month+ left in the season we are simply enjoying the time we have left here, and making preparations for our multiple off-season trips and vacations. Eric is still on the Dl. Yes, still. He is getting a little better each day, and will hopefully be back and completely healthy soon!

I'll leave you with one of my favorite quotes:

You can be excellent in every way. You can be first class. There is no need for you to be a scrub. Respect yourself. Do not feel sorry for yourself. Do not dwell on unkind things others may say about you. Polish and refine whatever talents the Lord has given you. Go forward in life with a twinkle in your eye and a smile on your face, but with great and strong purpose in your heart. Love life and look for its opportunities. ~ Gordon B. Hinckley
