No Pictures

WARNING: post may be random, boring, and contains no photos.

I hate when I have to do that! Anyways, the reason for having no pictures, is that we have done NOTHING. We anticipated going to see the dolphins at Six Flags, but when we found out that all of their "swim with the dolphins" programs were sold out for the day, we cancelled the trip all together. So, our 3 day break was just that, a nice, lazy break. We wasted the majority of our day sleeping woke up later than usual, went out to eat, watched tv, shopped a little, and really did a whole lot of nothing. It was definitely a great and much needed break. Most of the other guys and their girls went on fun little road trips, but seeing as we live in a hotel, we decided that we didn't want to subject ourselves to an additional 3 days of suitcase livin'.

Being back made me miss our little apartment even more, but I can only hope that we'll be back in it at some point soon. Living in a hotel, we have really learned to appreciate the little things that come with having a real "home", like being able to cook breakfast and do laundry. But, now that we are done with break and back to reality, we have to make the best of what we have.

This season has had its ups and downs, but has really been a lot of fun. Even though I have a lot of great friends here in California, I have really been missing my friends from home lately! So, if you're reading this I want you to know... I MISS YOU!! So come visit me. Now.

Well, I'm anxious and excited to see what the second half of this season has to offer! After enduring 5 minor league seasons, I have learned that no two years will ever be the same, and I think it's a beautiful thing! Definitely keeps us on our toes, and helps mix up the monotony that can come with playing 162 games. I hope all of you baseball girls had a fun, safe break. Here's to looking at the glass half full, aka the season being halfway over *cheers*

The Greatest Show on Earth

That's right, we went to the circus! After a few boring days in Fresno, we found out that the Ringling Bros. Circus was just walking distance from our hotel. We woke up, ate some breakfast, and headed to the circus. I'm fairly certain that I was more excited than 93% of the children in there. I was standing up, cheering, jumping up and down, gasping and very excited to be wearing the elephant hat (yes, it had a trunk and ears -see Twitter/Instagram for more info-) that Eric bought me.

The tiger show was great, there were some amazing acrobats, 8 motorcycles in a steel cage, but my definite favorite was the elephants. Next to dolphins, they quickly became my second favorite animals. Just to be clear, dolphins are BY FAR my favorite animal. I liked the elephants, but I'm not sure they could ever trump my love for dolphins. Needless to say, I LOVED the circus, and am so glad we went. It was a blast!

 {If that's not scary, I don't know what is}

 {How cute is that?!}

Besides the circus, Fresno was definitely an interesting place. I had been there a few years ago watching Eric play, but I didn't remember it being as bad as it was. Everywhere within about a 10 mile radius of the field was completely rundown, and there were homeless people all over. It was really sad being asked for food or money constantly. Just another reminder of how blessed and lucky we are.

After a trip to Fresno, a Call Me Maybe music video, a 16 inning game, a speeding ticket (Eric, not me), and a 2 hour drive home, we are officially on break! WOO HOO! I can't express my excitement. We deemed today a complete rest day. We have really done nothing productive, and wouldn't have it any other way. Tomorrow we're going to take a day trip to Six Flags and I can't wait! Mostly because they have dolphins! So. Excited. Eric may be riding rides alone, while I stare at, and take pictures of the dolphins for hours. I'm that girl. Well, if any of you are also on break, enjoy it and be safe!
