Apparently babies keep you kind of busy, as I haven't blogged in nearly four months. It could also have been due to spring training, buying a new house, packing/moving our old house, packing our things for a 7 month-long season and moving to Oakland? Who knows. As you can tell, we've had a lot of exciting things going on the last few months, but we are so glad to be here in Oakland and settled in one spot for a little while.
Saydee is growing like a weed and is such a cute little chunker! She sleeps well, eats well, and is just such a happy baby. She brings so much joy to our lives and we have had so much fun watching her learn and grow. Her daily routine includes smiling, laughing, rolling over, and she is learning to enjoy watching baseball ;) Our first Opening Day was great and she slept through 7 innings! It was freezing outside, so she was warm and comfy all bundled up in her Ergo carrier. I can't wait to travel with her and show her all of the cool places her dad gets to work.

As the beginning of each season rolls around, I always dread that first long road trip. We are so lucky to have the entire off-season to be together, so that first away series is always hard. This year is especially difficult, since Eric's not only leaving me behind, but Saydee too.
Today marks the first of approximately 86 days between now and the end of September that Eric will be on the road. *About to be single mom status* Of course Say and I will make it to a few away trips, but being apart from Eric so often is never easy. I'm also a huge chicken when I'm home alone, so I may or may not get anxiety out the wazoo.
{I have a baseball bat and a gun, people, and I'm not a afraid to use them!}
Even though it can be hard (really, really hard) at times, we are SO blessed to be in the situation we are in. Eric plays baseball…as his job! Wrap your brain around that one. I am so lucky to have such a hardworking husband that I am able to stay at home with our baby girl, and travel around supporting him. We never take a minute of this life for granted, but please know that our life is not as easy and glamorous as it may often seem from the outside.
Snapped this beauty yesterday of Eric spending some sweet time with his baby girl before heading out for the next 10 days. We haven't been apart for more than two days since we've had Saydee, so we're hoping it goes quickly! Say and I have big plans to keep us active and busy, and of course we'll be watching Daddy play each night too. *Cheers to the first road trip of the season*
